The estate
Old Florida, kept honest
The house was built in 1911 as a citrus packing family's winter home, and for most of a century it did nothing more interesting than sit still. The oak was already old then. The glasshouse came in 2016, on the footprint of the packing shed, because couples kept asking us what happens when it rains in July.
We are not a wedding factory and we are not a barn with a chandelier in it. We hold a small number of weddings, we set the tables ourselves, and we know which corner of the garden the light reaches at twenty past five in March.
Everything here is intentionally small. That is the point.
